Name: Luna Lovegood

Appearance: Luna has waist length blonde hair. It's slightly wavy, especially at the bottom. It tends to look a little messy, as if she's done a lot of running and didn't bother to brush it afterwards. She has blue eyes, that tend to be open really wide giving her the look that she's surprised. She seems as if she's taking in the whole world all at once. Luna has pale skin, she's about 5'5" in height and has a slender build. She's often seen with her wand tucked behind her right ear. Luna enjoys wearing bright coloured robes with nice designs, but unfortunetly, her school robes are black with blue lining. Very boring, in her opinion. When arriving in Paixao, she'd be dressed in pale blue robes with silver and gold stars etched into them. Her shoes are just plain black, but you can't really see them under her robe anyway. She likes strange jewelry, too. She wears radish earings and a butterbeer cork necklace! Luna thinks "muggle clothing" is very uncomfortable.
Luna, also, speaks in a very dreamy sounding voice. She only begins to sound normal when she's angry.

Personality: Luna is strange. She believes in everything until it's proven wrong, which... can be a long long time for some things. Luna is a quirky kind of girl.
She doesn't mind speaking her mind and telling the truth, even if it is awkward or upsetting. Luna's very open-minded. She understands she's different and doesn't care. She likes who she is. Luna doesn't really care about being picked on, she just thinks no one understands her. She sometimes thinks it's rather immature of people to call her Loony for thinking differently than "normal people"
The only thing Luna really wants is friends. For a while, she considered Harry and co. to be her "almost friends" because she was unsure how they felt about her. But now, she thinks they are her friends. Luna can feel really lonely sometimes and really misses her mother, but tries not to let her feelings show too much. She doesn't like feeling lonely or sad and usually just tries to wish them away. Luna is a really strong and loyal person. She has strong beliefs and no one can change them.

Weaponry/Abilities: Luna uses a wand, she can only cast spells. She cannot and WILL not use the three unforgivable curses.

Weaknesses: Gullible & Naive. She believes in everything. Spacy, sometimes. Easily distracted.

History: Luna was born to a witch and wizard. Her father was a writer who wrote for the magazine called "The Quibbler" and her mother stayed at home and expiramented with spells. Her mother always dreamed of creating her own and writing a book about it later on. Luna was homeschooled, mostly by her mother, and enjoyed hearing about her fathers work and watching her mother practice. One afternoon shortly after Luna turned nine, her mother was showing her something she had been working on. The spell backfired and her mother was killed instantly by it. Luna was devasted, as well as her father, but her father told her that they would both see her again after death. Luna felt better after that. She has firmly believed in heaven since then.
Her time at Hogwarts was spent mostly by herself. She read her fathers magazines a lot, he'd send her the new issues every month, and occasionally chatted with the others in her House. She knew they thought she was crazy, but didn't care. She enjoyed talking about the things she liked and believed in. She thought it was a shame that they did not care. Lunas fourth year was her best, because there she joined Dumbledores Army, a group that practiced defense against the dark arts because their teacher wouldn't teach them, and met people she now considers friends. At the end of her fourth year, she assisted Harry Potter and a few other members of Dumbledores Army in fighting the Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries. In her fifth year, she had a lot of good times. She spoke to people she considered friends. She also assisted her friends again at the end of the year when more Death Eaters attacked and killed their headmaster. Luna sadly attended the funeral for Dumbledore and went straight home afterwards. Her father was a bit protective and didn't want her leaving the house much. Luna didn't mind, she'd never really gone anywhere in the summer before. She had hoped, however, that the two of them could take a trip to Sweden to look for the Crumple Horned Snorkack.
